Oro Shogran — a mountain-top stay in Shogran
Oro Shogran is a serene mountain hotel in the heart of the Kaghan valley, known for breathtaking snow-peak and valley views from its balconies. Pine Travel books its Deluxe and Luxury family rooms and its spacious family suite, with rates from PKR 18,500 a night.
Where Oro Shogran sits
Shogran is a forested plateau at around 2,400 m above Kiwai in the Kaghan valley, reached by a short jeep ride up from the main Naran road. Oro is set among lush green meadows and snow-capped peaks, with balconies and a lawn that look straight out at the mountains. It is a comfortable base for the Siri Paye meadows — the high grassland above Shogran reached by jeep — and for day trips deeper into Kaghan.
Rooms and what they cost
There are three room types. The Deluxe Family Room, at PKR 18,500 a night, is a comfortable room with access to a shared balcony and mountain views. The Luxury Family Room, at PKR 22,500, adds a private balcony, a sofa and wider valley views. The Deluxe Family Suite, at PKR 30,500, is the largest — a spacious private-balcony suite for families or groups. Every room has heating and 24/7 hot water — essential at Shogran's altitude — and breakfast is included, with room service and an on-site restaurant through the day.
Best time to stay and how to get there
Shogran is comfortable from roughly April to October, with summer the busiest and autumn quieter and clearer. From Islamabad it is about seven to eight hours by road to Kiwai, then a 4x4 jeep up to Shogran. Pine Travel can arrange the jeep transfer and pair the stay with a Naran or Siri Paye tour, so you have one point of contact for the room, the jeep and anything else the trip needs.
