Pine Travel began with a simple habit — driving friends and family up to Hunza, Naran and Swat, and doing it well. Word spread, groups grew, and what started as a passion for the north turned into a company based in Rawalpindi.
Today we plan tours, host destination weddings and run the logistics behind conferences and corporate retreats. The mission hasn't changed: take care of every detail so our travellers can simply enjoy the mountains.

About Pine Travel
Pine Travel SMC Private Limited is a registered tour operator based in Saddar, Rawalpindi. We have been running trips into Northern Pakistan since 2013, and today we handle tours, hotel bookings, vehicle hire, guides and destination events for travellers from across Pakistan and abroad.
How we work
We are an operator rather than an agent, which means we plan the route, hold the hotel rooms, employ the drivers and stay reachable while a group is on the road. That structure is the reason we can answer questions honestly about which hotel is worth its rate or whether a pass is actually open, and the reason a problem at 11pm in Chilas reaches a person who can solve it rather than an inbox.
What we believe about pricing
The quote you approve is the price you pay. We do not inflate hotel rates, we do not add roadside surprises, and we tell you what is excluded as clearly as what is included. Where a cost genuinely changes — a fuel increase, a seasonal hotel rate — we tell you before payment rather than after. Advance payments confirm bookings and are non-refundable outside natural emergencies, which is stated on every invoice we issue.
Safety and driving standards
Most of the real risk in northern travel is on the road, not in the mountains. We use maintained vehicles, experienced drivers who know these specific routes, and realistic driving days rather than optimistic schedules. Side routes like the Raikot track to Fairy Meadows are driven only by local jeep drivers who run them daily. For families and elderly travellers we shorten days further and build in rest stops.
The team and the ground network
Our office team plans and books from Rawalpindi. On the ground we work with drivers, guides and property owners across Gilgit-Baltistan, Kaghan, Swat and Azad Kashmir — many of them the same people for years. That network is what lets us confirm a room in Karimabad during peak autumn or find a jeep in Naran on a day when everything is taken. It also means our advice comes from people who were in that valley last week, not from a brochure written two seasons ago.
Everything under one roof
A northern trip usually involves four separate purchases — the tour, the hotel, the vehicle and the guide — and travellers who buy them from four different sellers end up mediating between them when something slips. Pine Travel exists to remove that. We operate tours, hold hotel inventory through our own booking system, run rental vehicles and employ guides, so a delayed jeep is our problem to fix rather than an argument between vendors. The same is true for events: a destination wedding in the mountains needs rooms, transport, catering and a venue moving in step, and we coordinate all of it from one desk.
Who travels with us
Our travellers are mostly Pakistani families, groups of friends and corporate teams departing from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi, along with overseas Pakistanis returning for the summer and a growing number of foreign visitors. Each group needs something different — families want short driving days and rooms with attached bathrooms, honeymoon couples want quiet properties with a view, corporate groups want reliable connectivity and a schedule that holds. We plan for the group in front of us rather than pushing everyone through the same fourteen-stop itinerary.
How bookings and invoices work
When you book, you receive an invoice with a reference number, the exact inclusions, the total, and the bank details for payment. Nothing is treated as confirmed until availability is verified and the advance is received, which is why every invoice asks you to confirm on WhatsApp before transferring. Once the advance is recorded, the invoice updates to show what has been paid and what remains, and it shows the payment proof in place of the bank details. There is no hidden ledger — the document you hold is the document we work from.
Responsible travel in the north
The valleys we sell are lived in. We use locally owned hotels and guest houses where the quality allows, hire drivers and guides from the region rather than importing them from Punjab, and ask groups to carry their waste out of camping areas like Deosai and Fairy Meadows where there is no collection. We also decline routes and dates when conditions make them unsafe, even when a group is willing to pay — a cancelled Babusar crossing is a bad afternoon, while a forced one can be far worse.
