Where Grand Vista sits
Shogran is a forested plateau at around 2,400 m above Kiwai in the Kaghan valley, reached by a short jeep ride up from the main Naran road. Grand Vista sits near the very top of the ridge, so almost every room's private balcony opens to a 180-degree sweep of valleys and snow-capped peaks. It is a comfortable, upscale base for the Siri Paye meadows - the high grassland above Shogran reached by jeep - and for exploring the wider Kaghan valley.
Rooms and rates
There are four room types, all 400+ sft with a private balcony, TV, room service and hot water. The Deluxe Room starts at PKR 31,900 a night (basement rooms); the Luxury Room at PKR 38,500 (back mountain-view, master and twin beds); the Executive Room at PKR 44,000 (lawn and mountain-view, with a sitting area); and the Suite Room at PKR 55,000 (mountain views, an in-room tub and extra sitting, or a ground-floor suite with a double balcony). Rates rise a little for three or four guests, and heating is charged separately. All bookings are handled exclusively by Pine Travel.
Best time to stay and how to get there
Shogran is comfortable from roughly April to October, with summer busiest and autumn clearer and quieter. From Islamabad it is about seven to eight hours by road to Kiwai, then a 4x4 jeep up to Shogran. As Grand Vista's official booking partner, Pine Travel arranges the room and the jeep transfer and can pair the stay with a Naran or Siri Paye tour - one point of contact for the whole trip.
